Our mission: Making circular construction local and affordable.

221 m tons

Mineral construction and demolition waste is generated every year in Germany.

THE PROBLEM

Mineral building materials are becoming increasingly scarce. Quartz sand is considered a critical resource in the construction sector.

At the same time, mineral demolition waste is the largest waste stream in Germany and one of the largest worldwide.

The enormous material linearity becomes more expensive year after year, both ecologically and economically.

THE SOLUTION

Mineral construction and demolition waste as

Utilize local, cost-effective sources of new building materials.

Reuse high-quality demolition waste as a resource and thereby develop it as a long-term raw material .

Material circularity makes new building materials more affordable again, both ecologically and economically.

THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE REBLOCKS

A revolution in the lightweight building block segment

In collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, we are applying a process innovation that enables the outstanding properties of lightweight building blocks - and can simultaneously deal with a varying, heterogeneous resource flow.

The result: A lightweight, highly insulating wall block - made from a mineral demolition waste stream that previously had to be landfilled.

We want to revolutionize the construction industry by transforming construction waste into a valuable resource, thereby creating sustainable, cost-effective solutions for the future of building.

Our approach is based on the principle of the circular economy: We use mineral construction- and demolition waste as a secondary raw material instead of disposing it. This way, we reduce the demand for primary raw materials such as quartz sand directly at the source and manage our resources responsibly.

But our commitment doesn't end with environmental compatibility. We want sustainable building to be accessible to everyone. That's why we develop our ReWorth lightweight building blocks to be high-performing, affordable, and easy to use – so that everyone can benefit from resource friendly construction. Our vision is an industry where building and renovating are resource-efficient, high-quality, and affordable all at once.

We invite all stakeholders – from project developers and architects to investors and municipalities – to join us on this journey and actively shape the transformation. Together, we will create a construction industry that harnesses the potential of our cities instead of wasting it, and preserves a livable world for future generations.
